Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the VideoPlayer mobile application ("VideoPlayer", "we", "our") handles information when you use the app.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
VideoPlayer is designed to be a fully on-device video player. Videos you import from your Photo Library or Files app stay on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. We do not collect or store any video content.
2. Information We Collect
- Anonymous usage analytics via Firebase Analytics (Google) — aggregated metrics such as screen views, session length, and feature usage. Used to improve the app.
- Purchase data via RevenueCat & Apple's App Store — your subscription / lifetime purchase status, transaction identifiers, and the country of the transaction. Required for restoring purchases and entitlement validation.
- Attribution data via Apple's AdServices (only if you arrive from an Apple Search Ads campaign) — anonymized campaign and keyword identifiers. Used to measure marketing effectiveness.
None of this includes personally identifying information.
3. Access to Photos & Files
When you tap "Videos" or "Files" the app requests permission to read media you explicitly select. We do not browse, index, or upload your library.
4. Third-Party Services
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics
- Apple App Store / AdServices — payment processing & attribution
5. Children's Privacy
VideoPlayer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Subscriptions
Auto-renewable subscriptions are billed by Apple. Manage or cancel anytime in your iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. We do not have access to your payment information.
7. Data Retention
Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Firebase's defaults (up to 14 months). Purchase records are retained for tax and accounting purposes as required by law.
8. Your Rights
You may opt out of analytics by disabling "Allow Apps to Request to Track" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You may delete the app at any time, which removes all on-device data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and announced inside the app where appropriate.
